Sony Alpha A6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera Review

The Sony Alpha A6300 Mirrorless Digital Camera was released in March 2016 and is known as "the World's Fastest Auto Focus Speed" at .05.  It's a new and improved version of the previous model Sony Alpha A6000 which customers will appreciate.  The biggest improvement on the model A6300 is the 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, shoot and record high resolution 4k video, and the ultra-fast autofocus system.

Sony Alpha A6300 Upgrades

Body Style:  In comparison with the Sony Alpha A6000 digital camera the Sony A6300 has similar body designs with a few exceptions.  The iAuto and Superiors Auto positions are now grouped on the dial beneath a single Auto position.  The body of the camera is more durable and it’s dust/moisture resistant.

High Performance Sensor:  The Sony A6300 uses the same 24 megapixel CMOS image sensor and BIONZ C image processor as the Sony A6000 but the readout performance and signal to noise ratio has been improved due to copper wiring.  It has 2.4 times as many on-chip phase detect autofocus pixels as the A6000.

Burst Capture Experience:  When the burst capture rate is dropped to 8 frames per second the camera will show a real live view feed, similar to a DSLR.  This feature is handy when tracking moving objects.

Viewfinder Improvements:  There is a 63% increase in total resolution and an increase in dot count from 1,440,000 to 2,359,296.  The viewfinder refresh is boosted from 60 frames per second to 120 frames per second.

Silent Shooting Mode:  This mode is available where shutter noise will be a nuisance.

Video Feature:  A6300 has adjustable autofocus speed and tracking sensitivity for focusing during movie capture.  In movie mode the maximum sensitivity has increased from ISO 12,800 to 25,600. The camera also has 3.5mm external microphone jack attached as well.

Battery Life:  The Sony A6300 has an improved battery life from the A6000 from 310 frames on a charge to 400 frames.

On Amazon.com the Sony A6300 has nearly 90 customer reviews and customers have given the camera a 4.4 out of 5 star rating.  Many customers are upgrading to this camera and they like the new upgrades in comparison to the Sony A6000.  The camera with 16-50mm lens kit retails for a little over $1100 but customers can receive the best pricing on Amazon.com.
