Ninebot by Segway MiniPRO Hoverboard Review
The hoverboard made its debut in 2015 and was hugely popular but it may be replaced in popularity by a rival competitor in personal transporters, the Segway Ninebot miniPRO Hoverboard. Segway in many ways is the original designer of hoverboard type personal transporters and they've improved on the hoverboard design that is safer and has more features.
Highlights of the Segway miniPRO Scooter
Knee controls: the miniPRO’s knee control bar is what controls the scooter versus foot pads on traditional hoverboards. This feature promotes better stability particularly when maneuvering/steering the scooter left or right. To turn left just press in to the knee control bar with your right knee and vice versus. It is also easily adjustable for various heights of individuals.
Wheels: the wheels are larger than most electric scooters and hoverboards, the tires are 10.5” Pneumatic tires that are air filled. The size of the tires provide extra stability when riding over bumps in the road or going over different types of terrain. The tires having refined tread which reduces skidding helping for a smoother ride.
Remote Control: The Ninebot Mini comes with a smartphone app that allows it to be controlled remotely via the app/smartphone. It can be controlled by your smartphone via Bluetooth even when you’re not riding it. The Bluetooth feature will allow you to do the following controls: remote control, anti-theft alarm, speed control, customizable lights, vehicle diagnostics, and firmware updates.
Certified Lithium Battery: the miniPRO is powered by a certified lithium-ion battery that allows the hoverboard to travel at a top speed of 10mph, run on a single charge up to 14 miles, travel up a 15 degree slope, and has a carry limit of up to 220lbs.
Customizable LED Lights: there is lighting to make you visible for day or night time use. The miniPRO has automatic headlights and taillights with customization features. You can customize the color variations of the lights with more than 16 million different color variations.
Anti-theft: the anti-theft feature available with the app allows you to lock your minPRO when not in use and unlock it when you’re ready to use it. The locking feature triggers a phone warning if someone tries to move your miniPRO.
UL Certified: to ensure customers are safe the miniPRO is UL 2272 Certified for the highest standards of electrical and fire safety requirements established by Underwriter Laboratories.
The Segway miniPRO is sold exclusively on Amazon.com and has received over 40 customer reviews. Amazon customers have given the miniPRO a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars.
